10 Essential Cinematic AntiheroesWho knows what the nerds will uncover when they dump this in Photoshop and punch in 1000X zoom, but it's a pretty effective one sheet with Peter Parker casting an arachnid shadow as he scales up a wall. Nice job, anonymous graphic designer. Not much else to say about this one really, except that with the release date next summer the marketing campaign is going to shift into full throttle any day now. The biggest mystery is still what Lizard is going to look like (and no, don't send us those "first looks" that were just revealed on bottle caps or whatever that was. Lame.)
Andrew Garfield suits up in the lead role, with Emma Stone hanging off his arm both in the movie and real life. Rhys Ifans is the baddie, with Irrfan Khan, Martin Sheen, Sally Field, Denis Leary, Campbell Scott, Julianne Nicholson, Annie Parisse, Chris Zylka and C. Thomas Howell rounding things out. "The Amazing Spider-Man" will spin its web in your local theater on July 3, 2012. [SuperHeroHype]

Though quite into the old franchise, am strongly looking forward to the upcoming fresh one as well. This poster is just awesome.

Didn't Embeth Davidtz replace Julianne Nicholson? Or was that all a mistake?

"The Untold Story"? Even though it's yet another take on the origin story?
Cute.
