"Passion"
So, will Brian De Palma's "Passion" be a long awaited return to form or another ambitious disappointment? Well, we'll still have to wait and see, but we'd be lying if we said that the images released thus far haven't been making us excited. And now you can add one more to the pile.

Another promo snap, perhaps the most menacing yet, has emerged of Rachel McAdams ready to throttle Noomi Rapace in the film, in what he hope will be a movie that lives up to the thrills its suggesting. A remake of Alain Corneau's 2010 French film “Love Crime,” the story centers on two co-workers, the confident Christine (McAdams) and her admiring, innocent and naive protégé Isabelle (Rapace). Christine has no qualms about stealing some of the fresh ideas Isabelle brings to the international company as her own, but when Isabelle falls into bed with one of Christine's lovers, war breaks out.

Venice Film Festival honcho Alberto Barbera has already hinted that "Passion" could make the lineup for the fest which kicks off on August 29th -- or in about eight weeks -- so we'll be anxious to see if De Palma can get the movie, which he only started shooting earlier this year, locked in time. Either way, we love the leads, the material is strong...don't fuck it up De Palma.

With De Palma this could go either way ...I'm reminded of Femme Fatale (shudder) but for now it does look good.

Dressed To Kill is by far his best knock-out fun movie.

    Because clearly you're not....

A lot of people only like his gangster movies, that's fair enough, but he's made several very unique, stylish, innovative horror-thrillers too.

Obsession and Carlito's Way were both decent as well...but yeah this is gonna suck.

This film can only be terrible. De Palma has made no more than 2 decent films in his entire career: Scarface and The Untouchables (some would say Blow Out, but I never cared for that film).

Scarface is a bad movie but Femme Fatale is good? I think that says more about your taste than anything else.

Actually Scarface is pretty bad. Tried watching it again a while back and it is a poor piece of cinema. Watched Fury recently - that's a mess but much more fun. Femme Fatale is good too - but tough to find anyone to agree with that except AO Scott, Manohla Dargis, Jonathan Rosenbaum, Roger Ebert and Charles Taylor. Oh well, the critics like De Palma but what do they know?

I'm not 100% on "Blow Out," but it has more great than bad in it... much better than "The Untouchables"

Carrie is awesome. "I can see your dirty pillows. Everyone will." "Breasts mama, they're called breasts."

    The Untouchables...You're kidding me
