Yes, "The Muppets" marketing is now in full swing and the clips and sneak peeks have been hitting fast and furious over the past few days. So in case you've missed them, we've rounded up what we haven't already covered here so sit back, and unwind with what looks to be the most pure and enthusiastically childlike movie of the fall. The film has already started screening for critics -- many of whom said they wiped away a few tears in addition to having a great time -- and "The Muppets" hit the Savannah Film Festival over the weekend as a surprise screening, to the chagrin of more than a few who were expecting one of the buzzier awards season contenders. Well, if you can't wait, this stuff should tide you over.
First up is a staggering five clips from the movie, including the opening dance number choreographed by Michael Rooney. Why does that name matter? He's worked on all kinds of stuff you've seen including videos for Bjork's "It's Oh So Quiet," Fatboy Slim's "Praise You," Kylie Minogue's "Can't Get You Out Of My Head" and most recently Sara Bareilles' “Gonna Get Over You” directed by Jonah Hill. He also had a hand in the bank dance sequence in "(500) Days Of Summer."
Other "The Muppets" tidbits includes an absolutely bizarre appearance on "WWE Raw" (dug up by /Film) that reeks of pandering to Joe Sixpack. Meanwhile, over at Stereogum you can go there to hear "The Muppet Theme Song" from the soundtrack featuring guest vocals by Joanna Newsom and below you can hear “Life’s A Happy Song” by Jason Segel, Amy Adams and the newest Muppet Walter.
And after all that, you can finally go see the whole damn thing when it hits theaters on November 23rd.
