Batch Of New Pics & Featurettes Take You Into Tom Cruise's 'Oblivion'

Whatever your feelings are about “Oblivion,” it must be nice to know it’s finally coming out in a few weeks. Doesn’t it feel like trailers for “Oblivion” have been in theaters for a long time now? Tom Cruise reminiscing about the last great Super Bowl on Earth, Morgan Freeman lighting up a cigar, telling Cruise what’s “really going on” etc. Come to think of it, are we sure the movie hasn’t been released already?

Whatever your feelings are about “Oblivion,” it must be nice to know it’s finally coming out in a few weeks. Doesn’t it feel like trailers for “Oblivion” have been in theaters for a long time now? Well, apparently not. A brand new set of stunning photos from the film has been unveiled along with a couple of featurettes. The images give us glimpses of the three principal actors: Tom Cruise, Morgan Freeman and Olga Kurylenko, along with "Game Of Thrones" star Nikolaj Coster-Waldau who hasn't been much of a presence in the marketing thus far. Meanwhile, the videos give us a nice peek at the funky looking spaceship Cruise’s character rides in the movie, along with the Sky Tower building. Pretty sweet. The Joseph Kosinski (“Tron: Legacy”) film follows Jack Harper (Cruise), one of the last men on Earth, a drone repairman who goes on a journey of discovery that will force him to question everything he once believed.

If you’re on the fence about seeing “Oblivion,” keep in mind that the script has been through the hands of both William Monahan (“The Departed”) and Michael Arndt (“Little Miss Sunshine”) and it was shot by this year’s Oscar-winning cinematographer Claudio Miranda (“Life of Pi”). So, perhaps you should give it a shot. “Oblivion” arrives on April 19th. [Lebanese Cinema Movie Guide via MovieWeb]
