10 Essential Cinematic AntiheroesAffleck has taken himself out of "Focus," the heist romance/comedy picture that he would've co-starred in with Kristen Stewart. The Warner Bros. movie tells the story of a veteran con-man (the role Affleck would have played) who becomes romantically involved with a newcomer (Stewart) and finds the relationship challenged by their illegal activities. When they meet again down the line, the complications have long-lasting effects. "Crazy, Stupid, Love." team Glenn Ficarra and John Requa wrote the script and will direct, and the studio wanted to get this one going soon, so presumbly they'll trying to find a replacement fast.
So what will Affleck be doing next? Well, if political rumors pan out, he could he headed to Washington D.C. With John Kerry likely to be named Secretary Of State, replacing Hillary Clinton, CBS Boston is hearing that Affleck's name is being tossed around to replace Kerry's Senate seat. Of course, it's merely rumor for now, and certainly Democrats would love someone high profile like Affleck to give them some shine, but we'll have to see if the actor will make the step toward politics. Somehow, we doubt it. He's at the point where he could do anything, and we don't see Affleck taking himself out of the game at the prime of his career. But it's worth mentioning.
But for now, WB will have to find someone else for Stewart to grift with. Suggestions?

Obviously, Ben Affleck turned " Focus" down because the script is terrible, and, remember, Ryan Gosling & Emma Stone turned this project down. Ben is one of the most painfully bland actors working today ( it really shows in Argo) , and acting opposite the unbearable Kristen Stewart would make him look even worse. Ben is the golden boy now, so he trying to make smart career moves.

Haha Ben cares way to much about his image right now since his career is on the rise again... Why would he want to be associated with this mess that can't speak intelligently about any film she's promoting?

I hope this gets shelved now and we never have to be subjected to her blinking and bouncing around... Kstew can't open a film, can't act and nobody besides her batshit fans (that's probably in the minority now) care about her.
