10 Essential Cinematic AntiheroesOriginally slated to hit theaters in January, Sony moved David Koepp's "Premium Rush" to the tail end of August, presumably to try and get some post-Batman lovin' from ticket buyers. The thriller follows a bike courier who comes into possesion of a package that's wanted by a crooked cop (Michael Shannon), and what ensues is basically a lot of pedalling and bike tricks as Joseph Gordon-Levitt tries to evade capture and figure out just what the hell has turned his ordinary workday into an action adventure movie.
A bunch of new pics have dropped for the movie, and a couple seem a bit spoilery, but who knows. Frankly, we'll be watching this to see Shannon bite into into a villain with some relish but otherwise our expectations are low. "Premium Rush" makes delivery on August 24th. [Kinopoisk]
