Bill Hader Says Rachel Bilson Is "Really Funny" In 'The To-Do List'; Confirms Vaughn Meader Biopic "Still In Development"

When we last spoke to Bill Hader, the multi-talented comedian had several irons in the fire, specifically a supporting role in the upcoming comedy formerly titled “The Hand Job.” Written and directed by Hader’s wife Maggie Carey, the film follows a straight-arrow high school senior who decides to eliminate all her sexual inexperience in one fell swoop.

Speaking with Hader at the premiere of “The Adventures Of Tintin,” he confirmed that “The To-Do List” is indeed the final title (though he much prefers friend Michael Cera’s suggestion of “The Fuck-It List”). The film chronicles one girl's quest to cross off every possible sex act to gain some experience before she goes to college. Of the film, which he previously described as a "raunchy 'Sixteen Candles,' " Hader says, “I saw a cut of it. It’s really funny, people are going to be surprised by it.” The film’s got an all-star cast, including Aubrey Plaza, Andy Samberg, Alia Shawkat, Mae Whitman, Donald Glover, Connie Britton, Scott Porter, Christopher Mintz-Plasse and Johnny Simmons. Though Hader is quick to single out one of his co-stars and former "The O.C." gal saying, “Rachel Bilson is really funny in it.”

Hader also says he’s still at work on developing a biopic about impressionist Vaughn Meader, who made a living doing John F. Kennedy impressions throughout the 1960s, only to find his career crumble following the president's assassination. Though the project, which has “Big Fan” director Robert Siegel attached, is “still in development.  When Ben Stiller hosted [‘Saturday Night Live‘], he was talking to me about it, saying we’ve got to get to it.” Stiller remains attached to the project as a producer through his Red Hour shingle.

And as for the ultra-secret film Hader is putting together with super-producer Scott Rudin and comedy writer Vernon Chatman first revealed in the spring, well, it’s sadly going to remain an ultra-secret for now. “We’re about to get it going,” Hader confirms. “We’re doing table reads, but we’re trying to keep it under wraps until we know what we’re doing with it. It’s an ensemble thing, but I’m the main guy. But it’s funny.” Last time, he stated the project had nothing to do with two shows Chatman created, “Xavier: Renegade Angel” or “Wonder Showzen.” And this time, to remove all doubt, he emphasized, “It’s not ‘Delocated,’ The Movie.”

Hader will be seen next in "Men In Black 3D," playing Andy Warhol, when it opens on May 25, 2012.
