Another day, a few more names being tossed onto the list for "Fifty Shades of Grey," as Universal tries to figure out which young hunk is going to look best with their shirt off beside Dakota Johnson. We suppose acting ability could be important too, so who else is in the ever-growing mix?
Well, the Tony-nominated Billy Magnussen is testing for Christian Grey (along with Jamie Dornan), and while he's known to a certain audience for playing Casey Hughes on "As The World Turns," his big-screen efforts have been scattered. But with a role in Disney's upcoming "Into the Woods," he poised to break out. Meanwhile, Luke Bracey, longtime Aussie TV actor and rising Hollywood kid who played Cobra Commander in "G.I. Joe: Retaliation," is apparently also the mix.
Anyway, these guys join Alexander Skarsgård, Theo James, Christian Cooke, Francois Arnaud and Scott Eastwood in the expanding list of possible leads. Presumably, a decision is coming soon, with filming on the Sam Taylor-Johnson-directed flick slated to start next month. [The Wrap]
