10 Essential Cinematic AntiheroesFirst up, the Icelandic songstress is teaming up with David Attenborough for "Attenborough and Bjork: The Nature of Music." The doc, which has just been picked up by Britain's Channel 4, will continue the themes explored in Bjork's latest album, Biophilia (which we wanted to love, but didn't), and explore how music, nature and technology all intersect. The pair will travel the world in order to tell the story about the evolution of music, with Louise Hooper directing the project. Frankly, it sounds pretty damn interesting, and Bjork and Attenborough working together should yield some fascinating results. Attenborough, of course, is the man behind various nature documentaries including the acclaimed "Planet Earth," while the singer's obsession with the natural world has been a throughline for her work. No word yet on when their doc will air, but we're looking for to it.
Meanwhile, Beyonce is producing, directing and starring in a documentary on a subject she knows all about: herself. That's right, Mrs. Hova is shopping a movie that features the standard blend of career history, confessional interviews and concert footage to studios now, with a 20 minute reel being shown. On the one hand, she's had an interesting 18 months or so, releasing a hit album, dropping her Dad as her manager and becoming a Mom to the hottest celeb baby around, Blue Ivy. On the other hand, that Katy Perry movie barely made a ripple earlier this year when it hit theaters despite seeming like a no brainer smash on paper. Will anyone bite? Does anyone care? We'd prefer a Beyonce biopic starring Maya Rudolph. [THR/LA Times]

That's Richard Attenborough. For a minute, I thought they might be twins because I'd never seen David Attenborough.
