Bradley Cooper Says He Has "No Idea" That J.J. Abrams Is Making A Lance Armstrong Movie

Perhaps it's fitting that a movie centering on a man who conned an entire sport and legion of fans and followers, would be this convoluted even before a script was written. But to recap, in brief: Bradley Cooper told the BBC he'd be interested in making a movie about Lance Armstrong. J.J. Abrams says he's already been emailing Cooper about a project that he's developing about the cyclist. And now?

Well, Cooper is now saying that all of this is news to him.“I was in Manchester, doing the BBC morning show… I had no idea what [the interviewer] was talking about,” he told Access Hollywood last night at the SAG Awards. “I didn’t even know that J.J. has the rights, I had no idea.” And once again to drive home the point: “I don’t know anything about it” he says of Abrams' movie.

So either Abrams is emailing somebody who isn't Bradley Cooper, or the actor is respecting the director's well known need for privacy. Or they're having a massive communication mix up. Either way, this movie just became known as a thing about a week ago, so perhaps we can all just chill a second? Insert your own performance enhancing drug joke here. [via THR]
