10 Essential Cinematic AntiheroesFirst called "The Conjuring" and then untitled for a moment, the duo are coming aboard "Saw" creator and "Insidious" director James Wan's freshly named "The Warren Files." In a typical “The Amityville Horror”-style fashion, the film is based on the true-life account of the Perron Family (led by Lili Taylor and Ron Livingstone) and the paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren (Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga) in the 1970s who investigate their haunted Rhode Island home. LOUD NOISES. No word yet on the girls' roles but we presume they are either the Perron children or some kind of ghosts or something. Whatever.
Anyway, this will probably follow the cheap budget/high profit template Wan has down to a science. No word yet on a release, but considering shooting starts in March, a Halloween bow isn't entirely out of the question. [Variety]
