10 Essential Cinematic AntiheroesThe Oscar-winning -- still feels weird typing that out -- half of “Flight Of The Conchords” Bret McKenzie will return to write the songs, producer Todd Lieberman confirmed to Collider. Although Jason Segel won’t be returning to the world of Henson, McKenzie will be reuniting with the rest of the original film’s key team, director James Bobin and co-writer Nicholas Stoller.
The Segel-spearheaded reboot was one of our favorite films of last year, so we hope the sequel will be able to work without the goofiness of the “How I Met Your Mother” star. The return of McKenzie, along with the addition of Christoph Waltz, seems like a good sign that things are moving in the right direction. Lieberman also teased that a new Muppet might be unveiled in the movie, so we'll have to see.
“The Muppets 2” will be released next year on December 20th.

Shooting starts in January. Does it mean that Waltz is not doing Wally Pfister movie?
