James Franco, his "Palo Alto" co-star Emma Roberts, Zachary Quinto and Chris Zylka are all aboard "Michael," which packs a powerful story behind a bland title. Based on the 2011 New York Times article "My Ex-Gay Friend," the story follows an anti-gay "Christian minister from Wyoming who was so entrenched in gay culture before he rejected his homosexuality, he founded a gay youth magazine." Franco has the lead role, with Roberts as his girlfriend, and Quinto and Zylka as his former boyfriends. Gus Van Sant is producing, with Justin Kelly set to direct. [Variety]

Ben Kingsley is taking the unlikely journey to Spike TV to lead their event series "Tut." And no, he won't be played the lead role, but instead, the Oscar winner will play "Ay, the Grand Vizier to King Tutankhamun." No word yet on who is directing, but it's already slated to air on the network next year. [The Wrap]

Rose Leslie aka Ygritte from "Game Of Thrones," is taking her time away from hit HBO series to roll with Vin Diesel. She's landed a part in "The Last Witch Hunter," which follows "a semi-immortal witch hunter wandering the streets of modern New York City forced to partner with his natural enemy, a female witch. The two must stop a villainous witch queen from obtaining a relic and unleashing plague upon humanity." So yes, Leslie will take that female witch role in the movie that will be directed by Breck Eisner. So, manage your expectations thusly. [THR]
