You asked for it, America. As mind-numbingly shitty as it was, "Grown Ups" made over $162 million at home, contributing to over $270 million worldwide. It didn't take a genius at Sony to figure out that if Adam Sandler is going to make his first sequel, it might as well be for one of his biggest box office hits. But at least they are adding some fresh blood.

Update: Dieter Laser has responded to Screenread with his side of what happened and how it affected his approach to the role: "It’s very simple: I loved the story when it was told, got the contract and the promise to have the script in 4 to 6 weeks. When it arrived – half a year later and only after the official announcement – I didn’t like the realization at all, couldn’t identify with the character the way it was written and developed immediately and enthusiastically in a day and night marathon a version full of concrete and practical suggestions which would enable me to play the lead full throttle – same procedure as with Dr. Heiter – but this time it also would have had some unavoidable effects to the dramatic structure. That was too much for Tom and since he couldn’t live with my suggestions and I as a method actor couldn’t identify with his version, I told him that I couldn’t see any other way than that he would have to ‘change horses’. That’s it.”

Quick! When was the last time you saw Woody Allen on a movie poster? Yeah, we're not sure either, but doing some quick reserach (ie. hitting Google) you would probably have to go all the way back to 1989's masterpiece, "Crimes and Misdemeanors." But, throwing his fans a little curveball, he pops up on this new Italian poster for "To Rome With Love."

We always knew that David Cronenberg's "Cosmopolis" was going to be something special, but still, no one was quite prepared for the first teaser trailer that dropped last week. All Gaspar Noé strobe lights and lettering, our minds were fucked with images of Robert Pattinson shooting through his own hand, a goddamn dinosaur, futuristic guns and Juliette Binoche getting it on with Eric Packer in the back of a limo. So yeah, we're stoked.

A lot has been made of the rivalry between "Mirror Mirror" and "Snow White and the Huntsman" -- exemplified by the chicken-race with release dates. Before "Mirror Mirror" director Tarsem Singh could even start shooting, he told The Playlist he knew that his film had to be the first to hit theaters, "because we couldn't afford to be second."

When "Attack the Block" hit screens last summer, it almost immediately became everyone's favorite new cult hit. While we're still waiting with bated breath to find out what writer/director Joe Cornish will do next, someone who's taking considerably less time to line up his future projects is ATB's lead actor, John Boyega.
