We're always up for a good little thriller or a piece of noir, and while buzz on "I, Anna" has pretty much been muted at this point despite premiering at the Berlin Film Festival earlier this month, the cast and material is compelling enough that we're eager to give this one a shot.

With the wondrous “Hugo” behind him now, director Martin Scorsese is looking to head back to chronicling the sort of seedier pastimes that helped make his name, with the upcoming “The Wolf Of Wall Street” now in the works. Based on a true story, the film follows a New York stockbroker who goes on a downward spiral of sex and drugs, and refuses to take part in a large securities fraud case. Scorsese has already lined up top talent like frequent collaborator Leonardo DiCaprio, Jonah Hill, Jean Dujardin (“The Artist”), Jon Bernthal (“The Walking Dead”) and Kyle Chandler (“Friday Night Lights”), and the film continues to bring out names the way only a new Scorsese project can.

To say that this movie isn't exactly in our wheelhouse would be an understatement. The only time we've ever talked about "Silent Hill: Revelation 3D" has been in a feature about unnecessary sequels, and another about whether or not video games can make good movies. But it doesn't matter what we think, because there is a core of fans who enjoyed the first movie for whatever merits it supposedly had, and pushed it to over $100 million worldwide. A brand is a brand, and thus we have a sequel on the way.

The acting comeback trail for former California Governator Arnold Schwarzenegger has been a bumpy one marred by a scandal (which seems to have been forgotten), an attempt at a completely self-indulgent cartoon, but mostly just a dearth of solid projects worthy of bringing the lumbering talent back to the screen. One project has been shaping up quite nicely, with writer-director David Ayer (“Training Day,” “End of Watch”) behind the camera of police thriller (shocker) “Breacher.” Previously known as “Ten,” the film will follow 10 DEA agents who are marked for death following a heist during an drug enforcement operation. The production recently added Sam Worthington in an undisclosed role, and now has two more recognizable faces to add to the mix.

Even though he's not a major character in the film, and doesn't really play into the narrative as far as we know, it's probably a good marketing angle to feature Spike Lee's Mookie from "Do The Right Thing" in the first clip from the director's next effort, the indie flick "Red Hook Summer." But more intriguingly, this scene updates us on what's happened to him since he threw a trash can through the window at Sal's Pizzeria.

Hey, remember a year ago when Will Smith wanted Emma Thompson to write him a remake of the musical "Annie" for his daughter Willow Smith to star in? Well, apparently, it's still happening, but now Smith wants another writer to work on Thompson's script.

To say that Ben Wheatley has been striking while the iron is hot would be an understatement. The director arrived in a huge way last year with the cult fave "Kill List" and didn't waste much time with a follow up, arriving at the Cannes Directors' Fortnight this spring with black comedy "Sightseers." And now, he's already getting ready to roll on his next effort, "Freakshift."

While “The Dark Knight Rises” signaled Christopher Nolan’s latest embrace of humor in the summer action blockbuster, audiences looking for that trend to continue throughout other franchises would be wise to look elsewhere. Another director recently revealed exactly which direction he would take the fifth “Die Hard” installment, “A Good Day To Die Hard,” and it doesn't sound terribly promising.

Since the single official still of Ben Affleck and Rachel McAdams nuzzling in front of a gorgeous vista hit the web, it was always assumed Terrence Malick's latest film, “To the Wonder,” would expand on the themes of love and relationships present in both “Badlands” and “The Tree of Life.” However, as details on Javier Bardem's priest character revealed earlier this week hinted at a more prominent element of faith, today a figure involved in bringing the film to the festival world has added another subject the film will tackle.
