Well, at least it's not Miley Cyrus, right? Lifetime is teaming with History Channel who are looking to continue the miniseries success they had with "Hatfields & McCoys" (true story: this writer couldn't make it past the first part) with another tale of outlaws and young love. That's right, "Bonnie & Clyde" are getting ready to ride again, and as much as we frown at this idea, the two leads are actually some pretty decent choices.

If there is one movie everyone has had an opinion on this Oscar season, it's "Zero Dark Thirty." With folks like ex-CIA director Leon Panetta and filmmaker Michael Moore among the many, many, many pundits, politicians, observers and more weighing in about the film, its portrayal of torture and more, even the filmmakers have had to get in the fray, with director Kathryn Bigelow and screenwriter Mark Boal forced to remind folks that this is a movie, not a documentary and that depiction is not endorsement. But here's thing -- so far no one who has praised or defended the film was on the ground, but now, one man who was in the midst of action, has seen the movie.

The sequel, "Star Trek Into Darkness," hits theaters in May at the beginning of blockbuster season, but what of future installments? Won't Abrams be too busy with "Star Wars," particularly if that 2015 release date gets locked down?

Yes, the annual celebration of all things in mainstream music was celebrated, but in among the winners were a few items of note to movie fans.

It's been a little while since Zach Galifianakis got on to the very low budget set of his talk show "Between Two Ferns," but he's back and has served up a doozy. It's Oscar time, and the actor has taken the opportunity to sit down with the nominees. The results are pretty hilarious.

Okay, so he's not exactly Terrence Malick or Lynne Ramsay, but it's been six years since Eli Roth's last feature-length effort, "Hostel: Part II." And while he's been busy executive producing a handful of movies, putting his stamp on Netflix's upcoming "Hemlock Grove" and helming the "Nation's Pride" short for "Inglourious Basterds," he's back behind the camera and bringing the blood.

With the BAFTAs now done and dusted -- and Ben Affleck seemingly one inch closer to a complete “Argo” victory -- the Oscars are next in line to focus everyone's attention on the films of 2012. Every awards season, there are really only two moments of true suspense during the ceremonies: The reading of the names of the winning film or actor in each category, and the views of the hopeful, pensive faces of those who represent them. Two Best Actress nominees this year will be extra scrutinized as a result of reported “insider squabbling,” but really the occasion has led one of the leading ladies to respond with a level-headed fury.
