Oh, hey, "Red Dawn." This is coming out next week? Or wait, the week after? We can't really remember, but a half-hearted campaign is sort of happening for the movie and a couple of clips landed this week in case you missed it.

Even though Julian Assange has gone from notorious hacker to exiled cause celebre (hell, Lady Gaga of all people paid him a visit at the Ecuadorean embassy in London), his saga remains fascinating and important. Which means Hollywood has come calling. And while there are a handful of competing features and documentaries out there, DreamWorks looks to be out of the gate first as their untitled project begins to take shape.

It looks like The Weinstein Company has been busy this week picking up movies. With an Oscar slate that already (potentially) includes "The Master," "Django Unchained," "Silver Linings Playbook" and "The Intouchables," they've got another ace up their sleeve. But first, they've nabbed a movie that's already high on our list for 2013.

It’s one of those movies that sounds like it’s been thought up on a boozy night out -- wouldn’t it be great if there was a movie where Rocky and Jake LaMotta fight each other in the ring? Well, now there will be! Sylvester Stallone and Robert De Niro are stepping back into the ring as a pair of retired fighters who wish to settle an old score in “Grudge Match,” and now the movie is beginning to round out the rest of its cast.

Ordinarily, toy brand + celeb voice = us falling asleep. But, it's Lego and we pretty much like everyone who is coming on board a lot, and the guys directing it are solid too. So, color us optimistic. And really, how can you not like these latest additions?

If things stay the way they are now (which they probably won't), "Star Wars: Episode 7" will be directed by Matthew Vaughn with a script by Michael Ardnt (he completed a treatment for the trilogy, but he hasn't yet signed to write the screenplays). And while fans to continue to toss around dream names for who will sign on to direct the sequel, you can count three names out.

We'll certainly give Marvel credit for doing the impossible in creating a linked cinematic universe for their characters that is (mostly) coherent and complete. It's certainly no easy task, but they've managed to take their brand beyond the comic book store and into the pop cultural sphere at large, so kudos are definitely deserved. But when it comes to trying to snare A-list directors, they might want to rethink their approach.

Having premiered at the AFI Fest last week, the verdict is still out on whether or not Sacha Gervasi's "Hitchcock" will be a major player in the awards season race. But, with the first reviews mostly positive (though not overwhelming, and we were certainly not quite taken with its charms), Fox Searchlight is off to a good start, and now a new international trailer has landed to show off a little more of what audiences can expect from the movie.

First Image From Ben Wheatley's 'A Field In England' Arrives Plus New Trailer For 'Sightseers'

Ben Wheatley is a busy guy. Even as we chatted with him at TIFF about "Sightseers," he was already in pre-production on his next movie, "A Field In England," which again finds him shifting gears in fascinating ways. A period movie that will be both in black and white and color, and a production that will find him building his own camera lenses from scratch, we can only imagine the final result will be a bit more trippy than this first image.
