Given that Woody Allen essentially gets whoever he wants to star in his films, all for the price of a song, you might think that actors and actresses don't fret too much about the script. After all, they're just happy to be working with a legend. But in the case of Owen Wilson, while he was certainly eager to take a role in "Midnight In Paris," it seems he had a few doubts about whether or not the time-jumping nature of the story could be pulled off.

The Scientist, Prince Rakeem, The Abbott, Bobby Digital...these are just a few of the names RZA has had over the years as a hip hop artist, music producer and leader of the Wu Tang Clan. But this Friday, he'll get set to add a new name to his repertoire -- Director -- as he unveils "The Man With The Iron Fists." An ambitious, colorful kung fu flick, the likes of which Hollywood hasn't produced in years, it's quite the undertaking, but as this new featurette reveals, RZA had the advice and insight of some pretty notable people to guide him.

Fresh off helming perhaps the most gleefully anarchic and exuberant entry in the “Fast and Furious” series with “Fast Five,” the number of directions Justin Lin can explore next looks enviable to say the least. With that film's enormous box office bolstered by critical support, the director proved himself the obvious choice to lead the sixth installment, but along with a number of promising projects lining up on the side, it now seems he'll be treading into sci-fi waters in the near future.

A few musical cues and news today, so let's jump right in. Brit pop star Jessie J has recorded a new song for "Silver Linings Playbook," which takes the usually bland approach of literalizing the characters and themes of a film to a whole new level. Grammy Award-winning songwriter Diane Warren (nominated for six Oscars including Aerosmith's "Don't Want To Miss A Thing" from "Armageddon") has penned "Crazy About You." A movie about two people going through some personal pain that has affected their mental health -- and who fall for each other -- featuring a song called "Crazy About You"? Genius.

Before the royalty of French genre cinema took a handful of filmmakers under their wing to create modestly budgeted action exercises, from complete failures (“From Paris With Love”) to sequel-spawning blockbusters (“Taken”), the focus landed instead on some of the finest horror in recent years. Two brilliant, sadistic stand-outs remain Alexandre Aja's “High Tension” and Pascal Laugier's “Martyrs,” but while Aja's film dabbled heavily in the psychosexual, Laugier is set to take the element even further with his next movie.

"It's 100 percent undiluted Wolverine," director James Mangold (the very underrated "3:10 To Yuma") said in yesterday's Live Chat about 20th Century Fox's "The Wolverine." An interesting, surprisingly informative and thoughtful conversation between Mangold and his star Hugh Jackman, while the duo were in part-salesman mode -- letting the geek constituents hear what they wanted to hear -- the hopeful point of the discussion seemed to be selling fans on everything "The Wolverine" isn't.

Everything we've seen so far about Park Chan-Wook's "Stoker" suggests a heightened fairy tale, an eerie, somewhat unreal story that is half fable, half thriller. And the first poster for the movie certainly plays up that angle in yet another exciting tease for the upcoming film.
