After the disappointing box office returns of 2009’s “Funny People," Universal is pulling no punches in making sure that everyone knows that “This Is 40” is a (quasi) sequel to Judd Apatow’s earlier hit “Knocked Up.” To that end, here are two featurettes from the film along with another listen to a song from the soundtrack.

Okay, that didn't really happen, but a panel of industry types all cast their votes for Canada's Top Ten, which as you might guess, celebrates the finest in nation's cinematic output in a given a year. For those eagerly awaiting Park Chan-Wook's "Stoker," they got a big boost of good news this week as the film was announced as part of the Sundance Film Festival's lineup for January. And with international release dates following shortly thereafter, the faucet is slowly being turned on with new images and a poster emerging in the past week or so. And now, another eye grabbing piece of art has dropped.

Well, the viral campaign has started, the first trailer should be dropping later this month, and even it's not due until next summer, in the movie world that doesn't matter as developmenet on "Pacific Rim 2" is already under way. It was just a few weeks ago that the first rumblings of a followup surfaced, and now it's confirmed that work is starting.

Well, you can't have the best of the year without the worst, and while Cahiers Du Cinema got the ball rolling on the top films of the year, Time Magazine has dropped their rundown of the worst. And topping it all? The Wachowskis and Tom Tykwer's "Cloud Atlas."

Matt Damon Reteams With George Clooney For 'The Monuments Men'

They had fun at the multiplex with the 'Ocean's' trilogy of movies, made a topical movie together with "Syriana," Damon popped his head into Clooney's directorial debut "Confessions of a Dangerous Mind," and Clooney produced Steven Soderbergh's excellent and underrated "The Informant!" starring Damon. And now, the helmer is re-upping Damon for what will hopefully be a substantial role in his next effort behind the camera, which has all the makings for a big piece of Oscar cheese.
