In case you've been living under a rock, or were somehow unaware, we hate to break it you: "Breaking Bad" is done this summer. The acclaimed, hit series wraps up the fate of Walter White in just a few months time, and after that, AMC will be left with a considerably big hole in their schedule that they'll need to fill. Could "Low Winter Sun" be the next show we're all going to be talking about?

Over the past few years, as Hollywood has drifted more and more towards $200-million-budgeted tentpoles, more filmmakers and actors have run into the warm embrace of television networks. The latest actor to make the move to a series? Greg Kinnear, and he’ll be getting some help from Sam Raimi.

Year after year, HBO has continually showcases how much of a cable TV juggernaut they are, always coming out with great programming from interesting filmmakers and actors. Still, they’re a business, and when a show is doing poorly in the ratings, HBO has to send it to the chopping block no matter the amount of critical acclaim it receives. “Enlightened” is one of those shows, unfortunately.

Oh, you think your schedule is busy? Well, Ben Wheatley is here to let you know how lazy you really are. Not only has he dropped three features in the past three years -- "Down Terrace," "Kill List" and "Sightseers" -- with another one coming in 2013 ("A Field In England"), he also helmed episodes of the Brit show "Ideal," and contributed a short to "The ABCs Of Death." And oh yeah, he's got a handful of projects in the cooker too with "Freakshift," "I, Macrobane," "Two For Hell" and the animated "Mega Evil Motherfuckers" all developing. So you might not think he'd have time to make an American sojourn. You would be wrong.

Oh hey, Hilary Swank, remember her? The two-time Oscar winner, who hasn't really made a decent movie since "Million Dollar Baby" (though if we're being charitable, "Conviction" wasn't awful, just forgettable -- bet you didn't even remember that one) heads to HBO for her next effort, which looks like a definite improvement over her last few movies.

You gotta hand it to Netflix -- their major foray into original programming is leaving no stone unturned. And a new trailer is here teasing sex, monsters and all sorts of hair-raising drama.

In Britain, the biannual charity extravaganza that is Comic Relief has a great track record for creating one-off comedy sketches, many based around established British shows and comedy characters. Past classics have included skits based around the likes of "Doctor Who," "Blackadder," "Gavin and Stacey," "One Foot in the Grave," "Da Ali G Show," "I'm Alan Partridge" and "Father Ted." Ricky Gervais has been involved many times before, perhaps most notably for the time he created an extremely funny sketch in which he appeared to be recording an appeal for aid from Africa. Well, Gervais returned with a new sketch at this year's Comic Relief, and this time he brought back David Brent.

With the nation’s economy continually on a knife’s edge, the past few years has seen the political discourse take a marked shift. Conservative politicians have started to lure voters with an image that they will tighten the wasteful spending in Washington, but for the most part, that has meant targeting social services. Indeed, healthcare, social security and other measures that are seen as bloated programs that will sink the country into financial ruin if they aren’t severely overhauled. And all of this is being done in the name of supposedly preserving the middle class, but as the documentary “American Winter” argues, the entire approach is not only wrong headed, it’s only making things worse for the people these policies are supposed to protect.

Last night, "Girls" closed out its second season with a rather lacklustre finale, and while "Game Of Thrones" is HBO's next big series out the gate, later this spring they'll be returning with more laughs. The second season of "Veep" will kick off in April, with a new trailer recently arriving, and then in May, Christopher Guest will make a long awaited return with "Family Tree."
