EXCLUSIVE: More casting has fallen into place for Yaron Zilberman‘s indie-drama “A Late Quartet.” Following Thursday's announcement that Philip Seymour Hoffman had joined the film, reps for Catherine Keener have confirmed that the actress has joined 'Quartet''s cast as well.

Co-written by Zilberman and Seth Grossman, the film chronicles the elder leader of a famed string quartet who is suffering from Parkinson’s Disease, throwing the future of the renowned group into question. As the quartet struggles to stay together on the eve of their 25th season, the group’s once-tempered egos violently collide. Ethan Hawke was attached to the film in its early stages but had to leave due to scheduling conflicts; Christopher Walken and Imogen Poots have also been rumored for roles. The pairing of Keener and Hoffman will mark a reunion for the duo who have appeared together previously in "Synecdoche, New York" and "Capote."

Zilberman will be making his feature debut after his 2004 documentary, "Watermarks,” about an Austrian woman’s swim team in the ‘30s. Production on “A Late Quartet” is set to begin shortly in New York City.
