It seems the release or premiere of Bong Joon-ho's "Snowpiercer" keeps getting closer and closer, and certainly it's one we're very excited about. The latest star-studded effort by the helmer behind "The Host" and "Mother" is beginning to show a bit more behind the curtain, and after some concept art and an official image, the first (non-sales) poster arrived.
Twitch got their hands on the one sheet which provides a new glimpse at the grimy futureworld, and an old dude how may or may not be John Hurt. An adaptation of the French graphic novel "Le Transperceneige," the story takes place on a train carrying the only survivors of a post-apocalyptic future, as revolt brews. Chris Evans, Jamie Bell, Tilda Swinton, Song Kang-ho, John Hurt, Alison Pill, Octavia Spencer and Ewen Bremner are pretty much every reason you should want to see this.
No official date yet, but at this point, a Cannes Film Festival premiere seems likely and hopefully The Weinstein Company will stick to their plans for a summer release.
