Christian Bale & Natalie Portman Frolic In The Surf In Set Pics From Terrence Malick's 'Knight Of Cups'

While we continue to wonder about..."To The Wonder"...and if it will show up at the Venice Film Festival or continue to stay on Terrence Malick's shelf, the filmmaker is already headlong on three movies in various stages of development: the doucmentary "The Voyage of Time" and a pair of feature films, the formerly titled "Lawless," and "Knight of Cups." Of course, Malick goes by Malick's schedule and he's been in pre-production/shooting on both pictures already and at least in the case of the latter, the seaside is going to provide a common meeting place for the main characters.

It was back in April that we first saw Christian Bale and Wes Bentley hugging it out in the waves and now a few more images have emerged, this time with Natalie Portman being tossed around in Bruce Wayne's arms. The actress came aboard Malick's pairing of pictures earlier this year and as is usually the case, there are no details on what it's about, and even if there were, the final cut would probably be something quite different than what you thought anyway. There's not much we can gather from these pics except that if you put Bale by some water he probably won't yell at the lighting guy.

No release dates or distributors or really any other info on this one except that it also stars Cate Blanchett and Isabel Lucas. And given Malick's pace, we'll probably see this in....2017? [DailyMail]
