Christian Bale Thinks He'll Be Cut From The Untitled Terrence Malick Film; Shot Less Days Than Scheduled

And so 2013 draws to a close, and even though production started on two different, new Terrence Malick films back in 2011, there is still no sign of either "Knight Of Cups" or his Untitled Music Scene project. Both movies feature extensive, starry cast members who dropped by to work on the movie at various junctures, and both have plot details which are a mystery to everyone but Malick, but it looks like there is one major star you can likely count out of one of the projects.

Christian Bale recently stopped by to chat with Thompson On Hollywood, and the inevitable question about the status of the Malick films came up, and he reveals that he basically wasn't really in the music scene movie. "With 'Knight of Cups' I was there the whole time. The other one I unfortunately wasn't able to do everything I was meant to do, so I ended up doing like three, four days on that. Which in Terry's world means you're never going to see me in it," he said.

But reassured, both movies are coming, with Bale confirming he's deep in post-production on "Knight Of Cups" already (with the first official still released in May). "I've been doing that for months. Terry is on fire. They're both going to get finished. There's no doubt about it. WHEN, I can't tell you. But they're both going to get finished. He's just lit up. He's possessed," Bale added.

So... maybe in 2014? As always with Malick, it'll be whenever his creative muse says it's done, but it looks like we can count Bale out for at least one of them.
