Review: 'The Immigrant'And that somebody is Christopher Eccleston ("Dr. Who," "28 Days Later," "Shallow Grave"), who will play Malekith The Accursed in the upcoming film. As has been surmised by nerds for a while now, and given away by the title of the movie more or less, Malekith is a Dark Elf whose people fell at the hands of the Forest Giants. Able to dance between the worlds of the living and the dead, it's probably a safe bet that dude will use his Casket of Ancient Winters to try and raise an army of the dead on Earth, but Thor will have to step in to stop him and save his girl, Natalie Portman. Or something.
Anyway, still lots of time for more details to emerge. "Thor: The Dark World" will hit theaters on Novemer 8, 2013. Alan Taylor of "Game Of Thrones" fame is directing. [Deadline]

I wish they would start filming already so I can see some secret pics from spies and read about plot rumors. I love the whole series, but Thor is my favorite of them all. I love the artistic design of the sets and costumes for Asgard and the Frost Giants in the film. I was inspired to watch Thor again after seeing these articles, only to find out my kids lost it. So I just ordered it on Blu-Ray from Blockbuster @Home, and my Dish coworker came over to see it with me. Iâve had it for over a week, and thereâs never a late fee.

Great casting on Malekith the Accursed. I still can't picture out Zachary Levi as Fandral though.

This is awesome! I can't wait! We are going to have to have a Malekith Army!

Okay, the casting is great, but I'm not sold on the (potential) story... yet. Let's hope they bring something human to it all. Otherwise it's just supernaturally magical magic. With elves. And lasers. Or something.
