Fueled by the wild rhythms of jazz music, driven by ideals to break the status quo and forever pushing the boundaries of literature and poetry (while blurring the lines between the two), the Beats transformed a generation. And their story continues to captivate, with a new light being shown on an interesting early chapter in their careers, in John Krokidas' "Kill Your Darlings." With the movie headed to theaters, we've got a pretty sweet prizepack and some runner up swag for some lucky readers.

Kill Your Darlings

Fueled by the wild rhythms of jazz music, driven by ideals to break the status quo and forever pushing the boundaries of literature and poetry (while blurring the lines between the two), the Beats transformed a generation. And their story continues to captivate, with a new light being shown on an interesting early chapter in their careers, in John Krokidas' "Kill Your Darlings." With the movie headed to theaters, we've got a pretty sweet prizepack and some runner up swag for some lucky readers.

Starring Daniel Radcliffe, Dane DeHaan, Ben Foster, Michael C. Hall, Jack Huston, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Elizabeth Olsen and David Cross, the story centers on a young Allen Ginsberg and his relationship with the older, alluring poet Lucien Carr. The latter introduces the burgeoning poet to the scene that would change his life, but their friendship is tested, when darker forces come into play. And so to help get the word out about this week's release, we're got a big prizepack that includes a poster signed by Radcliffe,  DeHaan and Krokidas, along with a t-shirt, pen and notebook. And we've got a few more t-shirts for some runners-up too. So how do you win?

Email us your name, address and tell us your favorite book by any Beat generation writer and why. Good luck!

"Kill Your Darlings" opens on October 16th. Update: Contest closed, winners will be contacted via email.
