Review: 'The Immigrant'Variety reports that the ink is nearly dry, and Radcliffe will indeed take on the classic movie monster movie, playing Igor. Penned by "Chronicle" scribe Max Landis, this movie will apparently bring a sci-fi spin to Mary Shelley's classic tale, and that the Hunchback in particular will be "pathologically dirty and dressed in old clowns clothing." The film will also trade in themes of "friendship and redemption," so it seems this will have a real beating heart to it. It's certainly another curveball from Harry Potter, who is nicely going from boy wizard into more grown-up fare, and this could the biggest stretch of his wings yet.
"Lucky Number Slevin" helmer Paul McGuigan will direct, with shooting to begin this fall.

Interesting. "Daniel Radcliffe as Igor in a Frankenstein movie" is one thing, but that the movie is being written by the guy behind "Chronicle" and directed by McGuigan (who I think is quite underrated) is another. Color me cautiously intrigued.
