Well, finally. After watching the marketing campaign for Danny Boyle's "Trance" heat up for its U.K. release in March, it looks like it's finally coming stateside, and thankfully, we won't be waiting too long for the movie to cross the pond.
Fox Searchlight have slated the thriller for an April 5th limited release, that will see the picture roll out to more screens in the following weeks. Starring Rosario Dawson, James McAvoy and Vincent Cassel, the movie follows a fine art auctioneer (McAvoy) who teams up with a criminal gang to steal a Goya painting worth millions of dollars. But when he wakes with no memory of where he hid the painting, a hypnotherapist (Dawson) tries to help him remember, but reality, truth and lies start to get blurred. All you really need to know about this one is that it will be playing with your mind a bit, at least if the latest UK teaser poster from Orange and (atrociously ugly) U.S. poster is anything to go by.
Meanwhile, Melissa McCarthy and Sandra Bullock's cop comedy "The Heat" has moved into the heart of summer on June 28th. Either Fox are feeling very confident they have a hit on their hands, or perhaps the original April date was too close to next week's "Identity Thief," but either way, we wish it good luck against "Kick-Ass 2" and "White House Down."
