Former "Doctor Who" star David Tennant will return to the small screen starring in eight-part drama "Broadchurch" alongside Olivia Colman and Vicky McClure. The story centers on the media circus that descends on a small coastal community after the murder of a young boy. The project is being produced by Kudos Film & Television who are responsible for programs such as "Life On Mars," and "Law And Order: UK." "Broadchurch" will begin shooting in mid-August and later air on BBC Four. [Deadline]

Lee Daniels' "The Butler," the story of long-time White House servant Eugene Allen, has added Colman Domingo to its cast. No word on who the actor will play in the Danny Strong-scripted tale, but he joins an illustrious cast that includes Forest Whitaker, Oprah Winfrey, Matthew McConaughey, John Cusack, Alan Rickman, Jane Fonda, Cuba Gooding Jr., David Oyelowo, Lenny Kravitz, Jesse Williams and Alex Pettyfer. And while his may not be a familiar name just yet, Domingo may become a familiar face in the next year or so with roles in "Lincoln," "42" and "Red Hook Summer." [Deadline]

Susan Sarandon has joined the voice cast of ShadowMachine's stop-motion comedy "Hell & Back," which stars Nick Swardson and TJ Miller as buddies who must rescue a pal who has been dragged to hell. Mila Kunis, Bob Odenkirk, Rob Riggle, Jennifer Coolidge and Maria Bamford also co-star in the Tommy Gianas and Ross Shuman-helmed pic. [Deadline]
