10 Essential Cinematic Antiheroes
David Frankel, director of "The Devil Wears Prada" and "Marley & Me," has signed on to helm "One Chance" a (probably heartwarming) comedy "that follows Potts from his origins as a chubby child to awkward portly adult with a passion for opera, and the various mishaps along the way that kept his spectacular voice a secret until he unveiled it one night before most of the United Kingdom." The picture was written by "The Bucket List" scribe Justin Zackham so there's probably no way this will be treacly, sentimental and manipulative right?
No word yet on casting, though an unknown is expected to land the role of Potts, but we think the real challenge here will be keeping enough dramatic tension in the film for a climatic scene that is already widely available on YouTube. Anyway, financing is being sought for the film that will shoot in April in Wales. No word yet on when "One Chance 2: The Susan Boyle Story" will be made.
