Though "Interstellar" is still over a year away from hitting theaters, for Christopher Nolan fans looking for a fix, the forthcoming "The Dark Knight Trilogy: Ultimate Collector's Edition" will have plenty to dig into. More than just a box throwing together the three Batman movies, it's coming with a boatload of extra material, some of which is now making its way online.

So "Interstellar" is now shooting up in Canada (eh!), and of course, there are no specifics on the plot, because that's just how Christopher Nolan rolls. However, any morsels that do leak out will be dissected and discussed and perhaps blown out of proportion until Nolan decides to lift the sheet, and it can get a bit silly. But it's Friday, a long weekend is coming up, so why not waste a few minutes puzzling out this new bit of intel. And note: there may be spoilers ahead.

So, has Christopher Nolan journeyed to Westeros with the rest of America for the past few years watching "Game Of Thrones"? Or is this just a lucky break for an actor who appeared on the show? Or maybe both? Either way, the cast of "Interstellar" continues to grow, and grow and grow.....

It looks like the birthday boy isn't taking a moment to rest. Celebrating his 43rd birthday, Christopher Nolan will have to blow out the candles a little later, because right now he's continuing to add names to his already massive cast for "Interstellar."

It would seem that Christopher Nolan is one of the few top-tier directors to have made nary a misstep in his career. While our retrospective from about a year ago, perhaps controversially, argues that his weakest films were "Following" and "Batman Begins," even in those cases they weren't outright failures and still offered many of the techniques, motifs and trademarks that he has established consistently across a strong brace of films. Up next for the director is his secretive (naturally) sci-fi "Interstellar," but before he starts work on that next month he's got one thing to get out of the way first. Blowing out his birthday candles.

OK, we’re finally catching up with this near-exhausting week. Last weekend at Comic-Con, director Zack Snyder and Warner Bros. unveiled a huge bombshell. Nope, not a “Man Of Steel” sequel or a “Justice League” movie. Instead they unexpectedly went laterally and announced an untitled “Superman and Batman” film (perhaps much to the lament of pure Superman fans who are probably still reeling from the fact that the masked crimefighter just hijacked a second “Man Of Steel” right out from under them).

Okay, we get it. If you want to make an original sci-fi movie these days—or an original anything—you need to cast big name stars to convince studios to part with their cash. So, Christopher Nolan has done just that, lining up Matthew McConaughey, Jessica Chastain, Michael Caine, Anne Hathaway, Casey Affleck, Bill Irwin, Ellen Burstyn and John Lithgow to star in "Interstellar." All people we love too, so yeah sounds awesome. Then he started filling out the supporting cast with some...interesting...choices including "Twilight" actress Mackenzie Foy, "Homeland" actor Timothee Chalamet and "That '70s Show" guy Topher Grace. It's all looking pretty monochromatic here, and that's not changing.

What Kind Of Batman Will Superman Face
This weekend at Comic-Con Warner Bros dropped a bombshell: instead of announcing a sequel to this summer's "Man of Steel" (or a full-on "Justice League" movie), they revealed they would instead be bringing a Batman/Superman team-up movie to the big screen. Once again overseen by the "Man of Steel" team of director Zack Snyder and writer David S. Goyer (with Christopher Nolan taking a distant executive producer role this time around) the movie will likely retain much of the "Man Of Steel" cast (including Amy Adams and Laurence Fishburne), while folding in a presumably new Batman mythology. What they didn’t say was who would be putting on the cape and cowl. Let the speculation begin!

Superman & Batman Movie For 2015
This is unexpected news. Warner Bros.' Comic-Con panel isn't until later today, but apparently some major news is about to be announced. The L.A. Times' Hero Complex blog is reporting that the studio has decided what their follow-up film to "Man Of Steel" is going to be, and not it's not a Superman sequel or a "Justice League" film. According to the newspaper's blog, WB intends to announce a film that features Superman and Batman together; a team-up movie as it were. A 2015 release is being eyed. Update: A "Flash" movie is being eyed for 2016, and a "Justice League" movie for 2017.
