Vince Vaughn, David O. Russell
The Vince Vaughn brand maybe isn’t “in trouble” per se, but it’s not doing that great either. How so? Well, “The Internship” opens this weekend and it’s a big, broad comedy co-starring Vaughn and another relatively big comedy star Owen Wilson. Keep in mind, “Wedding Crashers” from 2004 that starred Vaughn and Wilson is the 4th highest R-rated comedy of all time domestically ($209 million) behind two ‘Hangover’ movies and “Ted," and it’s the 10th highest grossing R-rated movie domestically ever. That’s not anything to sneeze at.

While we anxiously await the oddball awesomeness David O. Russell is cooking up with "American Hustle," let's take a victory lap with "Silver Linings Playbook." The screwball rom-com nabbed 8 Oscar nominations resulting in a Best Actress win for Jennifer Lawrence, who shined among a uniformly excellent ensemble in the tale of one man's journey to find a happy medium between his mental illness and the troubles in his life. It's charming, winning stuff, and one extra moment that didn't make it to theaters is now available for you to enjoy at home.

Nailed, Jessica Biel, James Marsden
It seems the saga of David O. Russell's "Nailed" isn't quite ready to end just yet. Or at the very least, it's not fading quietly into the night. Where to begin? We'll try and keep it brief. The once promising movie started shooting in the spring of 2008 with Jessica Biel, Jake Gyllenhaal, Catherine Keener, Tracy Morgan and James Marsden all in the cast, but things quickly went down hill. Plagued with dodgy financing, production started and stopped a handful of times as crew members waited to get paid, eventually shutting down completely with only one day of filming left to complete it.

David O. Russell Abscam project
Okay, while we might prefer the original working title "American Bullshit," it probably would've created a marketing nightmare, so the official replacement? Yeah, it's not too shabby at all.

David O. Russell Abscam project
"They're all going to do things we haven't seen them do in this movie, it's going to be very exciting. Jeremy Renner's going to be like you've never seen him. Bradley Cooper’s going to be like you never seen him. Christian Bale's going to be like you've never seen him before,” David O. Russell told us late last year when we spoke to him during “Silver Linings Playbook” press rounds about his currently-filming, still-untitled, based-on-a-true-story FBI ABSCAM drama/dramedy (or maybe full-on comedy?) Russell added, “they're all playing real-life characters from the ‘70s and they're very intense in an insane drama."

Who does David O. Russell think he is? Woody Allen? Okay, we kid, but the number of name-brand stars he's lining up for his still (aggravatingly) untitled Abscam drama is reaching epic proportions. Christian Bale, Bradley Cooper, Jeremy Renner, Amy Adams, Louis C.K., Jennifer Lawrence, Alessandro Nivola, Elisabeth Rohm, Dawn Olivieri and Jack Huston are already on board the currently shooting movie, which is now adding even more cast members.

So remember last month when it seemed like the David O. Russell/Jennifer Lawrence collaborative relationship was going to carry over from "Silver Linings Playbook" and the currently filming Abscam movie to a third project, "The Ends Of The Earth"? You might want to put it back in your pants for the moment.

Okay...we're totally stoked for David O. Russell's Abscam movie, but can we a title already? That little issue aside, the already stacked cast just keeps piling on the talent (and anticipation).

Having landed its Raphael just before in the weekend in the shape of "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" actor Alan Ritchson, Michael Bay hasn't hung around before locking down the rest of the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" for the mo-cap-heavy reboot of the comic/animation franchise he's producing for director Jonathan Liebesman. Deadline report that the mutant quartet is being filled out by Pete Ploszek as Leonardo, Jeremy Howard as Donatello and Noel Fisher as Michelangelo. The latter's perhaps the best-known of the quartet, having previously appeared in Liebsesman's "Battle: Los Angeles," as well as "Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part Two" and "Hatfields & McCoys." Howard seems to be a complete newcomer, while Ploszek is our immediate favorite of the four, given that he appeared in an episode of "Parks & Recreation." The four join Megan Fox in the film, which opens on May 20th, 2014.

The talent involved in David O. Russell’s untitled Abscam project has swollen to such epic proportions in recent months with Jennifer Lawrence, Christian Bale, Bradley Cooper, Jeremy Renner, Amy Adams, and Louis C. K. and it just keep growing. The latest actress to be cast, Elisabeth Rohm is probably most well known for her stint in the D.A.'s office on "Law & Order," and was last seen in the thriller “Transit.”
