"Did you ever work at a restaurant? Remember your first or second day, how simple shit like 'Where is the ketchup?' takes you five minutes where it takes someone else 10 seconds? Especially early on, there were a lot of people who didn’t know where we kept the ketchup," Jon Stewart told EW about this experience directing his debut feature film. He admits he learned the gig on the fly, a far cry from his established routine on "The Daily Show."

Quentin Tarantino, Christopher Nolan, Judd Apatow & J.J. Abrams Team Up To Save Film Stock
A couple of years ago, things were looking grim for Kodak. The legendary film company couldn't keep up with the digital age, and were on the brink of bankruptcy, but managed to bounce back last fall. While the company promised to be more contemporary in their approach going forward, they also said that film stock was part of their future as well. And a bunch of filmmakers teamed up to make sure the industry ensures that in an increasingly digital age, there is still room for good, old fashioned physical film stock.

And alas, more new details are kicking around about the potential plot, so read on, and obviously, if even vague speculation might ruin everything for you, spoilers ahead.

This is probably not the kind of buzz Disney wants about eighteen months out from the still scheduled December 18, 2015 release date for "Star Wars: Episode 7." With Harrison Ford's recent injury prompting speculation that production might be delayed to the point where the movie will have to be pushed and others saying that Oscar Isaac's role is being expanded to make up for the loss of Ford, Disney has had to deny both counts. And now comes another rumor suggesting some behind-the-scenes friction.

Star Wars: Harrison Ford
"Star Wars" good news only lasts so long. The most infamous ankle break in the history of below the waist bone breaks—since Joe Namath of course— is causing so much pain for so many. In case you've been living under an embargo of no ligament related news, you’ve probably heard by now that Harrison Ford sustained an injury on the set of J.J. Abrams' "Star Wars: Episode VII” ("We have proudly worked 15 6 days with no accidents,” the production work sign said sheepishly). The actor broke his ankle when a door from the life-sized Millennium Falcon came crashing down on Han Solo. Original reports had him laid out for eight weeks, with production going on without him.

David Oyelowo, Star Wars Episode VII
Boy, this is going to be a convoluted one, and why is reading certain sites for news like trying to figure out the Sunday New York Times crossword in a mirror? Are you caught up with your “Star Wars: Episode VII” rumors and tall tales of late? They sort of go like this, and as usual, potential spoilers abound.

J.J. Abrams, 'Star Wars'
Here's something that in light of the "Ant-Man" news and this current "Star Wars: Episode 7" update, that might be worth remembering: studios, directors and artists working on films owe you absolutely nothing until they are ready to show off what they've been putting together. But over the past week, impatient fans and blogs have been posting or linking to set photos from "Star Wars: Episode 7." TMZ has been the main culprit, managing to get their hands on creature photos and other pics from the secure set of the highly anticipated sequel, while also claiming, due to photo evidence, that the Millennium Falcon is returning to the franchise as well. (Sorry, we're not linking to them but you know how to use Google, if you're really curious). But all of this has led to a much larger debate about the nature of spoilers and leaks in general.

May the fourth be with you! As you know, Star Wars Day is here, and while fans were hoping for casting announcements....those broke earlier this week. So what's left? Well, if you're a fan of the extended universe, the first full trailer for the animated series "Star Wars Rebels" dropped (see below) giving fans a storyline that takes place between 'Episode III' and 'Episode IV.' But if you really want to know more about the movie, you're gonna have to wait.

Glass Chin
One of the absolute highlights of this year's unusually robust Tribeca Film Festival was Noah Buschel's "Glass Chin" (read our review here). It's the tale of a down on his luck former boxer named Bud (played by Corey Stoll) who gets seduced by the criminal underworld. And there's no one more seductive than Billy Crudup, who plays J.J., a kind of loan shark/restaurateur, in a performance that borders on being downright mesmerizing. Crudup is a wonderful actor but in "Glass Chin" he taps into something really powerful and odd. And we were lucky enough to chat with him about the process of creating the character, which he equates to the experience making Zack Snyder's "Watchmen." Oh, and he gets a shout out J.J. Abrams for a "Star Wars" job too.

Benedict Cumberbatch
So much for all those rumors. Latino Review insisted back in September of last year that Benedict Cumberbatch would be in “Star Wars: Episode VII” and any denials from his camp would need be taken in the same way as his deflections early on about playing Khan in "Star Trek Into Darkness" (which turned out to be true).
