Do you really need this much more convincing to see the Coen Brothers' "Inside Llewyn Davis"? If you haven't already been swayed by the rave reviews (including ours), the stirring theme song "Fare Thee Well (Dink's Song)" (listen here), or the numerous trailers that have already captured the humorous melancholy of the movie, well, here's one more piece of advertising that will hopefully put it over the top for you.

While a new slate of films awaited first reactions in Venice, the Coen Brothers were in New York, discussing a film already branded a standout gem months before its release. When “Inside Llewyn Davis” premiered at Cannes in May to rapturous reviews, including our A-grade take, it marked a touching biopic of sorts delving into the '60s NY folk scene, and during a recent screening of the film at Telluride, the sibling directors — prolific as ever — dropped a hint as to that musical interest continuing on into a future project.

Inside Llewyn Davis
Here's a bit of a warning before you watch this latest trailer for the Coen Brothers' marvelous "Inside Llewyn Davis"—it's not exactly spoiler heavy, but there are some revelations that are best experienced completely cold. That being said, if you just can't resist, the movie certainly won't be ruined for you, and this latest spot does a solid job at capturing the irresistible blend of drama and morose humour the sibling directors have perfected over their career.

The Coen Brothers, Inside Llewyn Davis
Have you heard of these guys, the Coen Brothers? Apparently they have some new movie coming out about American folk music or something, with that guy from “ER” in it. Yeah, we're not sure either. But that last movie they did, the one with Jeff Bridges and all the bowling, that was pretty good. Anyhow, to publicize the folk music movie, the BBC have made a documentary about them. But seriously folks, the Coens do have a movie about American folk music about to come out, called “Inside Llewyn Davies” (it made a big splash at Cannes -- we liked it a lot) and while you wait for December 6th, you could do a lot worse than revisit this 2000 documentary, made during the filming of “O Brother Where Art Thou?.”

Of all the genres to try and pull off, the romantic caper flick -- think "To Catch A Thief," or "Charade," or even "Ocean's Eleven" -- is one of the trickiest. For such a film to work out, it's got to be as light as a feather and feel entirely effortless, and all too many films aiming to hit that sweet spot end up feel entirely effort-ful. But if anyone feels like they might be suited to that sort of thing, it would be the Coen Brothers, who penned the script for the remake of a minor classic of the genre, the 1966 Michael Caine/Shirley MacLaine film "Gambit." Have they pulled off?
