Lost Ending To Stanley Kubrick's 'The Shining' Revealed

Fun fact for the day: "Toy Story" director Lee Unkrich is a huge fan of "The Shining," so much so that he runs a fansite dedicated to the movie called The Overlook Hotel. And while it's always pretty awesome to see filmmakers share in the same obsessions as the rest of us cinephiles, Unkrich has gone a step beyond and done some digging which seems to have yielded a holy grail of sorts around Stanley Kubrick's film.

It's the beginning of the new year, and Pixar are obviously getting into the action early. The studio has released some teaser art for its 2013-2015 slate, and while it's small and brief, it's definitely something that's already creating excited ripples in the animation community.

Last summer at Disney's D23 event, Pixar unveiled two new movies to their future roster: an untitled Peter Docter ("Up") project that would "go inside the human mind" (of a young girl it was later revealed), and another, an untitled effort about humans living alongside dinosaurs. This evening at CinemaCon (and via press release), the secretive company dropped some small, but key and previously-unrevealed details on the already announced films, plus another nugget - the announcement of a third new Pixar film.

First, let's get one thing out of the way: Lee Unkrich kind of looks like Ed Helms doesn't he? Okay, we just had to put that out there, but the real news is that the "Toy Story 3" director has announced on Twitter that he's starting work on a new movie and to stay updated you'll have to keep glued to his Tumblr page where he'll be tracking its progress. "Today is day one on my next project. Every day I'll post a new photo chronicling the journey," he tweeted. So what is it? Who knows.
