Following the one-two punch of the critical disappointments of “Cars 2” and “Brave,” it’s fair to say that Pixar is off its game, so to speak. Nevertheless, while the next few years will yield two sequels -- “Monsters University” and “Finding Nemo 2” -- the studio has plenty of interesting projects being developed, including “Up” director Pete Docter’s “wildy ambitious” and secretive film that takes place in a young girl’s mind. Originally known as “The Untitled PIxar Movie That Takes You Inside The Mind,” Docter’s third feature now has a title.

Last summer at Disney's D23 event, Pixar unveiled two new movies to their future roster: an untitled Peter Docter ("Up") project that would "go inside the human mind" (of a young girl it was later revealed), and another, an untitled effort about humans living alongside dinosaurs. This evening at CinemaCon (and via press release), the secretive company dropped some small, but key and previously-unrevealed details on the already announced films, plus another nugget - the announcement of a third new Pixar film.

If you're tired of the recent rash of Pixar sequels (because, really, who hasn't been longing to find out about Mike and Sully's monstrous college adventures?), then you're very much in luck. Not only is next summer's "Brave" an all new property, part loving homage to Celtic myhtology, part feminist parable (we hope), but in the next few years we also have a new film about man's coexistence with dinosaurs (directed by Bob Peterson) and, even more tantalizingly, a film directed by "Up"'s Pete Docter and set inside the human mind. Pixar/Disney bigwig John Lasseter was recently on "Charlie Rose" (via Slashfilm) and spilled a few more details about the secretive project.
