Clearly, Quentin Tarantino isn't done with the world of "Django Unchained." The talkative director turned heads last month when he revealed at the Cannes Film Festival he was considering releasing his western with new footage in a 4-hour miniseries cut for TV. But TV isn't the only medium where Tarantino wants to bring Django.

Tarantino, Pulp Fiction
By now you’ve probably heard about Quentin Tarantino’s press conference from Cannes. He’s not down with digital projection, he’s starting to heal over the “knife in the back” that was casting agents helping leak his “Hateful Eight” screenplay, which he still might make, and he’s considering making a 4-hour version of “Django Unchained” for cable (the irony that he called digital the death of cinema and announced a potential project for the small screen on the same day evidently lost on him).

Quentin Tarantino, Django Unchained
It was twenty years ago this week when "Pulp Fiction" premiered at the Cannes Film Festival, won the Palme d'Or and spawned a generation of copycat films. And to celebrate the anniversary, Tarantino is back on the Croisette where the film will have a special screening tonight, and at a press conference this morning, the talkative filmmaker revealed that he actually has a lot more from his last film, "Django Unchained," to share with the world.

A Fistful of Dollars
Each year, the Cannes Film Festival's lineup of classic films allows those on the Croisette to catch up with old favorites, often in newly restored editions, and this year is no different. The lineup includes films by Alfred Hitchcock, Frank Capra, Jean Renoir, Wim Wenders, Francois Truffaut, Krzysztof Kieślowski and more, but one filmmaker in particular will get a boost by Quentin Tarantino. For those entering the sold out live read of Quentin Tarantino’s “Hateful Eight” last night expecting a funerary sendoff, they were instead met straight away with a correction: the event, held at Downtown L.A.’s stunningly renovated Ace Hotel, was simply a public work-in-progress.

Pulp Fiction
Finding a role for him in five of his movies to date, the partnership between director Quentin Tarantino and Samuel L. Jackson has been steady over the years, with the actor taking roles both big and small. Whenever QT has called, Jackson has pretty much been there. So who better for Tarantino to ring up than his old pal when it's time to do a live read of his leaked script, "The Hateful Eight"?

Kill Bill Vol. 2
With the dire "Transcendence" opening today, and next week's big release coming in the shape of the Fox comedy "The Other Woman," you might think April isn't a great time to head to the multiplex. But ten years ago, Quentin Tarantino gave movie buffs a reason to flock to theatres in big numbers in the spring.

Quentin Tarantino,
With his lawsuit against Gawker over their linking to his leaked script "The Hateful Eight" ongoing (a trial date is set for January 27, 2015) and the status of whether or not this will actually be his next movie or not up in the air (he said it was shelved, but later rumors surfaced he was still rewriting it), Quentin Tarantino has decided to roll out the western in its first, legal airing. And you better hope you have a couple hundreds bucks to spare and can make it to Los Angeles.

Quentin Tarantino,
Whether or not he’s actually rewriting it, the controversy surrounding the script leak for “The Hateful Eight”—aka script-leak-gate—rages on and one of Quentin Tarantino’s oldest and staunchest champions has thrown in his two cents on how everything shook out. Meanwhile, the “Django Unchained” director’s lawsuit against Gawker looks to have gotten a bit trickier.
