We really don't get racing at all. Watching a bunch of cars drive around a track for hours on end? Not really our bag, and Universal knows that if they want the '70s-set, racing drama "Rush" to reach an audience beyond Sunday afternoon couch potatoes, they're gonna have to sell this thing. So why not introduce Chris Hemworth's lead character James Hunt like smoldering, sexy, risk-taking hunk? And that's exactly what they do.

Remember when everyone— including your mom, best friend, guitar teacher, bus driver, mailman and butcher— was devouring "The Da Vinci Code"? It's hard to remember that a book that corny and poorly written somehow became a phenomenon (oh wait, "Fifty Shades Of Grey"...) but not only was a pop culture moment, it spawned the hit movie that made a tidy $758 million worldwide. But by time the followup "Angels & Demons" arrived three years later, interest had cooled, and it only collected $458 million. Still, $458 million is $458 million and it looks like Sony wants to scrape up whatever Dan Brown dollars are left.

This weekend's broad new studio comedy "The Internship" (our review) concerns a couple of schlubs (former wedding crashers Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson) who, finding themselves out of work and hopelessly outdated when it comes to modern technology, apply to become interns at Google. While there, the movie becomes something of a workplace comedy – one in which all of their coworkers are way younger, cuter, and more brilliant.

Ron Howard hasn't just been sitting around narrating the upcoming episodes of "Arrested Development." The director has putting the details on his next feature effort, the true story racing saga "Rush," and while a movie about gears and waving flags might seem like a drag on paper, he's chose a helluva tale to spin on the big screen. And a new trailer is here to give the dudes from "Fast & Furious" a serious run for their nitro.

For a few months now, the words 'crowd-funding' and 'Kickstarter' have been on the lips of producers and studio executives all over Hollywood. The tremendous success of the "Veronica Mars' movie on the crowd-funding platform has seemingly opened the way to all kinds of other projects, most notably Zach Braff and his second feature "Wish I Was Here." But we've always been a little worried that it could be a double-edged sword; that executives would stop rolling the dice on risky projects and simply go straight to the fans to root through their wallets.

Projects never die, they either have momentum or they don't, and one particular, ambitious endeavour has already been kicked around and picked over, going through various ups and downs, is Ron Howard's "The Dark Tower." We'll try to keep this history brief.

Just a couple of days after the UK trailer came tearing around the track, we now get a U.S. spot for Ron Howard's racing drama "Rush" along with some new pics for the movie that's revving its engine pretty hard, pretty early. We're still months away from the film arriving, but perhaps Universal realizes that racing movies probably need a bit of a harder push than other genres. Good thing that so far, it looks pretty rock solid.

You couldn’t read a review of “The Impossible” without reading about Tom Holland’s mature-beyond-his-years performance as the eldest son. Many said he was robbed of an Oscar nod but high-profile offers are a pretty good consolation prize and Holland will be receiving plenty of those. The young British actor has just signed on to Ron Howard’s based-on-true-story whaling picture “In The Heart Of The Sea” opposite Chris Hemsworth. Holland also recently wrapped “How I Live Now” with Saoirse Ronan and the Steven Knight thriller “Locke” with Tom Hardy.

The racing genre as a whole doesn't offer a lot to choose from, particularly when it comes to dramas that just stick to the race track and don't burn your retinas like "Speed Racer" or jack up your experience with 'splosions like the "Fast & Furious" franchise. In fact, it's been a while since we've had a movie set strictly on the race track, but Ron Howard's "Rush" is not only getting behind that wheel, but also telling a great story.

While his Formula 1 racing drama “Rush” doesn’t surface until the fall, it seems that Ron Howard was impressed with his leading man, as Vulture is reporting that the “Apollo 13” helmer is circling a project that would reunite him with Chris Hemsworth.
