Discuss: Do Lindsay Lohan & Grant Bowler Look Like Elizabeth Taylor & Richard Burton In These New Pics From 'Liz & Dick'?

With the paparazzi busily snapping away during nearly every on-location moment for Lifetime's "Liz & Dick," the studio has wasted no time supplying official images of Lindsay Lohan and Grant Bowler, this time in color, following a black-white still earlier in the week. This is where we usually talk about the shoddy nature of most Lifetime movies, and how this is a bad idea blah blah blah, but let's get right to the heart of it: do these two even look like Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton?

One commenter recently opined that Lohan looked more like Joan Crawford than Elizabeth Taylor, but we think at least at a costuming level, the filmmakers are doing a good job and while her face doesn't exactly match, it's close enough. The real test is if she'll have the chops to pull it off and capture the spirit of the actress. As for Bowler? Yeah, he kinda looks bit more like Burton, though he doesn't have quite the physical presence, and we presume he'll be able to pull off the gig, though we'd wager there are fewer expectations for his performance.

Because The Playlist is a film site and Elizabeth Taylor was a film icon. And this is the first forray into a depiction of her life on screen. And a controversial one at thing. Being produced by Lifetime or not. Starring Lohan or not, it's still movie news...of someone cemented in cinema history...

You know, I was wondering the same thing. I get reporting on Lohan, and even Bowler, being cast, but are we going to hear about this everyday? Obviously, I don't have to read what doesn't interest me, but still... seems weird.

He does not look a thing like Richard, his eyes are too close together and Richard was much more handsome. Lindsay doesn't look bad, but this pic looks photoshopped as much as possible. She doesn't even look like a human being, nevermind Elizabeth!
