Dominic Cooper is joining Aaron Paul and Imogen Poots in the movie, which is based on the hugely popular Electronic Arts racing game, and has a script by George Gatins, who cracked/created the story (the game doesn't have one) with his bro, John Gatins ("Flight"). And while details had been vague, Variety reveals that Paul will play a dude who works out of a garage souping up cars with various mods, who gets sent to prison when his friend is murdered in a race. When he gets out he calls up Walter White he sets out to seek revenge.
Cooper will play a fellow gearhead and ex-NASCAR driver who creates fancy cars for the wealthy, with Poots lined up as an exotic car dealer who works with both guys. So it may not be exactly the most inventive set up (seems like a standard frame up/revenge flick), but the actors are solid and it could be good B-movie fun.
Production begins next year and movie hits on February 7, 2014.
