10 Essential Cinematic AntiheroesWith "Tron: Legacy" director Joseph Kosinski's "Oblivion" only five months away from release, we haven't seen anything -- not even an image -- from the somewhat mysterious blockbuster. But that all changes on Sunday when the first trailer arrives. But until then, a rather tantalizing poster has arrived with Future Cruise looking at a waterfall between some "Inception"-d buildings. It's a pretty striking image, and one that does a good job teasing without giving up the game. Here's the synopsis: Jack Harper (Cruise) is one of the last few drone repairmen stationed on Earth. Part of a massive operation to extract vital resources after decades of war with a terrifying threat known as the Scavs, Jack’s mission is nearly complete. Living and patrolling the breathtaking skies from thousands of feet above, his soaring existence is brought crashing down when he rescues a beautiful stranger from a downed spacecraft. Her arrival triggers a chain of events that forces him to question everything he knows and puts the fate of humanity in his hands.
Olga Kurylenko, Andrea Riseborough, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and Melissa Leo co-star in the film that will have a soundtrack by the excellent M83. "Oblivion" arrives on April 19, 2013. [IGN]

So Daft Punk does Tron and now M83 does this. Someone tell this dude a good movie takes more than a cool soundtrack.

"From the director of Tron: Legacy" seems exactly like the sort of thing you'd want to make an effort to *exclude* from your marketing.

One of those "'Inception'-d buildings" is that little known structure called the Empire State Building. Just sayin'.
