"We're talking. We've been talking," Edgar Ramirez told IGN when asked about whether or not his "Deliver Us From Evil" director Scott Derrickson has discussed the upcoming "Doctor Strange" with him and that's all it takes at the moment to get the rumor mill churning. There's no word if it's for the title role, the villain or something else, but considering the film doesn't have a release date yet, it would seem it's in early stages. But it would seem Marvel, if anything, is trying to get their ducks in a row and we suppose that for now, you can toss Ramirez onto a wishlist pile that includes Benedict Cumberbatch, Tom Hardy and Jared Leto.
Meanwhile, Derrickson isn't just busy at Marvel. THR reports that he was recently hired by MGM to pen their big screen version of the classic TV series, "The Outer Limits." C. Robert Cargill will team with Derrickson to co-write the movie that will use the Harlan Ellison penned episode "Demon With A Glass Hand" as the source material. If you don't know, the story follows "a man with no memory beyond the last 10 days of his life and a computerized hand who discovers he is from the future. The man is being hunted by an alien race who see him as key to their survival, but he soon discovers a more complex and terrifying truth." Uh, that's certainly....out there....don't adjust your set....
Lastly, Derrickson's next effort, the horror "Deliver Us From Evil," has dropped two new clips. Ramirez, Eric Bana and Olivia Munn, the film follows a cop and unconventional priest who team up to fight demonic possessions. It opens on July 2nd.
