Sadly, it looks like the actress' most interesting prospective project won't be coming to pass. Eyebrows were raised last year when it was announced that the 20-year-old actress was set to star alongside James Franco and fellow tween idols Vanessa Hudgens and Selena Gomez in "Spring Breakers," a dark teen comedy from Harmony Korine, the idiosyncratic helmer of "Gummo," "Mister Lonely" and "Trash Humpers."
Sadly, according to a report from Just Jared, Roberts has dropped out of her role -- "a thrill-seeking Southern brunette," and one of a group who rob a restaurant to pay for their holiday -- citing the usual "creative differences that couldn't be resolved." The good news, however, is that Gomez, Hudgens, Franco (who'll play a rapping drug-dealer) and the director's wife Rachel Korine are all still on board, with production still set to get underway in the spring, and a replacement being sought for Roberts. A shame certainly, but we're still dying to see how the project turns out, and will likely find out early in 2013.

Yeah... she's cute & all but I haven't seen her do any real "performing" that couldn't be done by any other really cute girls? She plays the Magic Pixie Girl & when she doesn't she's.... just there.

Is it really "sad" when Emma Roberts drops out of a movie?
