Emma Stone is about to be launched into the stratosphere this summer. The actress who worked her way up the ladder with considerable charm in a string of films ("Superbad," "Easy A," "Stupid Crazy Love," "The Help") features in her first franchise in "The Amazing Spider-Man." Then later this fall, she'll go all femme fatale alongside the macho cast of "Gangster Squad." But lest you think she doesn't have time to have fun anymore, you'd be mistaken.

EW reports that Stone will make a cameo appearance in the hugely popular Nickelodean show "iCarly." Since I'm not a girl or twelve years old, I've never seen this show, but it's a pretty big deal for a certain demographic and having Stone pop up will be a nice treat, particularly as it will be the final season for the program. Anyway, in the episode that will air later this year, Stone will play a big "iCarly" fan (meta?) who stumbles across the gang when they try to find Spencer some adult friends. If you watch the show that probably makes a lot more sense.

Anyway, before that, we'll be seeing Stone as Peter Parker's gal in "The Amazing Spider-Man" opposite Andrew Garfield, and she also plays his gal in real life. Meta again? Our head is spinning. Some more images from the movie below via HeyUGuys and Kinopoisk.

"Since I'm not a girl or twelve years old.."

what the heck this supposed to mean?

Maybe a they got the quote wrong? Saying she's not a twelve year old girl so she wouldn't watch the show... or maybe she's just retarded. Either way I would plug my meat stick into that bread loaf any day of the week.

Rumor was that "The Amazing Spider-Man" didn't test well. The buzz of "Gangster Squad" also doesn't look good.
So sadly, Emma Stone's career may be going to face some challenges.

I thought she was pretty great in Superbad and Easy A. She was fine in The Help but Davis had the meatier role/is a tremendous talent that can out-act everyone on screen. Stone's career won't falter even in Spiderman and Gangster Squad are flops because she plays a supporting role in both, especially the latter. Spiderman doesn't live or die with her performance or credibility... it's resting on Garfield and the director's shoulders.

Mary, I mostly agree. Both movies look horrid. Emma Stone is likable , but she has very little range as a actress . Stone always comes across as a 16 year old in film or publicly. She was completely out of her league in " The Help " , and she looks out place in the trailer for the "Gangster Squad" ( not buying her as a femme fatale ) Emma is coasting on box-office hits - not geniune talent. Once her box-office appeal wears off. she is in trouble.

Now, Andrew Garfield is the real deal. He is one of the few actors that can act on stage and film.

I doubt it.... she still a funny girl. I would say Andrew Garfield career.
