Even Jason Statham Has His Limits, Turns Down 'Fast Six'

Way back last fall, right around the time there was rumors that Paramount wanted him for their inevitable "Transformers" sequel(s), it was revealed that Jason Statham was the latest piece of man meat being sought to join the sweaty, armpit-stained cast of "Fast Six." But for fans hoping for a hot man sandwich of Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham, those dreams have been shattered.

Twitch reports that a deal couldn't be worked out and Statham won't be starring in the film. Bummer dude. As the star of three "The Transporter" movies, two "The Expendables," two "Crank" flicks and a variety of indistinguishable action pics, it's not as if he has a discerning palette. But perhaps he just didn't want to be third wheel in a franchise already greased with characters to keep track of. After all, nobody wants to come second to Paul Walker.

Anyway, the Justin Lin-helmed flick starts shooting next month and will hit theaters on May 24, 2013.

Start shooting soon even no the starring lead, funny. 8) I pretty like Jason Statham this hot dude from Killer Elite and Blitz, with the damn sexy British accent.

Fast Five was one of the best films of last year. Justin Lin was robbed of awards consideration, proving once again how worthless awards season is! Diesel and The Rock are awesome. Any man should be honored to play second fiddle to them in this most awesome of franchises. Dear Mr. Lin, please replace the loon Statham with Mr. Welling, who should be starring in action films pronto. Thank you for your consideration and gifting the world with its best new action franchise!

Thank god for that! Even Statham has his limits and who wants to come 3rd best behind Vin Diesel and The Rock.
