The road movie is a genre that knows no national boundaries, and in the World Cinema section at forthcoming Sundance Film Festival, we'll get to see Indian actress turned filmmaker Geetu Mohandas take it on with directorial debut "Liar's Dice."

Starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Geetanjali Thapa and Manya Gupta, the film tells the story of Kamala, who ventures off to find her husband Harud, a construction worker who hasn't been home in five months, since traveling to a job at a dangerous and potentially corrupt worksite. Leaving her village in Himachal Pradesh, India, Kamala journeys to find her husband, with her daughter Manya at her side (who brings her pet goat). And along the way, she strikes a deal with the mysterious Nawazuddin to help her, and as you'll see in this exclusive clip, getting his assistance isn't easy.

"Liar's Dice" will have its first screening on Saturday, January 18th. Watch a clip below.
