10 Essential Cinematic AntiheroesThe Cannes Film Festival kicks off on Wednesday, but even outside of films In Competition, as part of the Un Certain Regard section or in the Cannes Directors' Fortnight and Critics' Week sidebars, the field will also be extremely crowded in Cannes Market, where studios and producers come to hawk their wares to buyers. Double Dutch Media is one such company and they have a diverse slate of nine films unspooling in the marketplace this year. One of the more intriguing offerings is "Warhouse," a brutal psychological (and supernatural) thriller about one man's fight to preserve his humanity and sanity over years of terrible imprisonment.
The film is led by Joseph Morgan (Klaus Mikaelson on CW's "The Vampire Diaries," "Immortals") along with Matt Ryan ("Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior," "Flypaper") and William Troughton and is directed by newcomer Luke Massey. Here's the official synopsis and below, an exclusive clip from the film along with a recent teaser trailer.
Royal Marine A.J Budd ( Joseph Morgan) awakes in a mysterious house and is forced to fight for his life every day against grotesque inhuman opponents. Trapped alone in an unchanging prison of unbreakable routines, he must kill every day or die himself. As days stretch into years, the isolation and unceasing violence threaten his very soul. The only note of hope lies in the journals of a former prisoner of the Warhouse, WWI officer Lieutenant Edward Sterling (Ma Ryan). Discovered behind a secret wall, Sterling's diaries serve as a mentor to the young marine and help to keep him alive, but what dark fate befell their author? The stories of these two men from different times interweave as their desperation to escape the Warhouse and the endless killing leads them both into taking terrible measures.

Honestly I'll need more than 2*56 sec to make myself an opinion ... I mean there's a thin line between a simple idea gone great and a nice pitch gone wrong ..."wait and see" I guess (that monster-thingy looks cool though).

Joseph Morgan is a major talent to watch out for. He is wonderful on Vampire Diaries. Morgan is always charmismatic , fun to watch ,and he has a strong presence.
