It's hard to belive that it was seven years ago when Justin Timberlake dropped FutureSex/LoveSounds, his chart topping sophomore album, and since then the pop star has turned actor, lining up parts in a wide range of films from the B-movie sleaze of "Black Snake Moan," to the comedies "Bad Teacher" and "Friends With Benefits," to the sci-fi "In Time" and the baseball drama "Trouble With The Curve." While 2013 will see him appear in the Coen Brothers' "Inside Llewyn Davis," Timberlake is heading back to where he started, with a new album The 20/20 Experience dropping in the spring. And he's roped in the helmer who helped him achieve his finest performance to date to lens the first video for the album.

The Playlist can confirm that David Fincher is directing the video for "Suit & Tie," the first single for the album that also features Jay-Z. Production began last week on the spot, with Timberlake reteaming with his "The Social Network" director. As fans of Fincher know, he cut his teeth on commercials and music videos, but it has been seven years since he's done one, last helming "Only" for Nine Inch Nails. There's not much word on what this clip will involve but set photos reveal that, appropriately, everyone is looking quite dapper.

The 20/20 Experience will stores on March 19th and while Fincher ponders over a few options for his next feature, "House Of Cards" just dropped on Netflix in its entirety last night. The political drama has Fincher behind the camera for the first two episodes, and executive producing the rest of the series, and if you're not a football fan, this might be the perfect thing to settle in with this Super Bowl weekend.

Justin does not make R&B music. Its pop, but with a few R&B elements in them.

It's funny that he has been in so many movies because he hasn't been that good in any of them and is average-at-best as an actor. He's definitely determined to be an actor and has worked with a lot of good directors, but I don't really see acting in his future.

IMO, he was good in The Social Network, funny in Bad Teacher, meh in Friends with Benefits and in In time was awful. He was fine in Trouble with the curve though. Not a bad actor like Keanu Reeves but I doubt he win an Oscar. That said, I hated Bradley Cooper since the Hangover and then he did Silver linings playbook and it was like woooaaaa. So you never know.

Maybe is because you don't like r&b but JT is, out of question, a very good musician.

Alex, I couldn't agree more. You are too kind to call him " average". Justin Timberlake is mediocre in my book, and he was struggling big time in " Friends With Benefits " and " In Time." Timberlake gave the weakest performance in The Social Network. To be fair, he was decent in " Alpha Dog." I don't care who directs his new video, because his new song is dreadful. Regardless of what the media was reporting, Justin was never a " Frank Sinatra " in the making.
