Review: 'The Immigrant'For his final bow at the festival after serving a remarkable twenty-five years, festival director Richard Pena has put together a great line-up. Ang Lee's "Life of Pi" makes its world premiere and opens NYFF tomorrow with many more premieres and festival highlights on the slate, including Centerpiece film "Not Fade Away" from David Chase, Robert Zemeckis' Closing Film "Flight," Noah Baumbach's "Frances Ha," Brian De Palma's "Passion," Michael Haneke's "Amour," Leos Carax's "Holy Motors," Olivier Assayas' "Something In The Air" and so much more, including director talks, retrospective screenings and lots for cinephiles to dive into.
