Exclusive: Poster Premiere For Sundance Coming-Of-Age Drama 'It Felt Like Love'

The debut feature from writer/director Eliza Hittman, "It Felt Like Love" premieres tonight at the Sundance Film Festival, and we've got the exclusive first look at the poster in advance of its screening. Following the sexual explorations of a young teenage girl in Brooklyn, "It Felt Like Love" features mostly non-actors in this realistic and lyrical portrayal of the awkward trials and tribulations of burgeoning sexuality. The cast also includes several rappers from the Brooklyn-based Pro Era collective.

The cast also includes several rappers from the Brooklyn-based Pro Era collective.

The poster features a close up of its star, newcomer Gina Piersanti. This is Hittman's second time at the fest, as her short, "Forever's Gonna Start Tonight," played in competition in 2011 and made it on Indiewire's "The Best Of The Best" list that year. Here's the official synopsis:

During an uneventful summer on the outskirts of Brooklyn, Lila, a lonely fourteen-year-old from Gravesend, turns her attentions to Sammy, an older thug she sees at Rockaway beach. Wanting something to brag about, she weaves a story about him and becomes fixated on seeing it realized. When her attempts fail, she propels the lie even further, claiming they’ve had sex. During her sexual quest, Lila turns from predator to prey. It Felt Like Love captures the confusing emotions and developing identity of an adolescent girl that explores what could euphemistically be called love.

Featuring Piersanti, Giovanna Salimeni, Ronen Rubinstein, and Jesse Cordasco, "It Felt Like Love" unspools in Park City in the NEXT competition tonight at 6 p.m. at the Yarrow Hotel Theatre. Check out the poster below.
