What can you do to nurse a broken heart? Find solace in a bag of Cheetos, get right back into the dating game, take some time for yourself -- there are many ways to mend those wounds. For Simon in Antonio Campos' ("Afterschool") latest film, Paris is the place to be, but that's just the start of the story.
"Simon Killer" tells the tale of the titular character, which, if the title hasn't tipped you off, isn't all he appears to be. Brady Corbet leads the picture as a young man recently dumped by his high school sweetheart, and now graduated from college, who decamps to Paris to sort things out. As this exclusive clip reveals, he's charming enough, even as he makes a transaction with a prostitute, but there is something unnerving about him too, and it will eventually come to the surface.
One of the buzzier films of the 2012 Sundance Film Festival -- and one that we called " a noir-tinged, noose-tightening ordeal" -- the film hits theaters on April 5th and VOD on April 12th. Watch below.
